Hilman buat magic

This is just gonna be a short post but I just want to get it jotted down before I forget.  Yesterday when we were in KFC attending to a birthday party, I saw 4 very cute water bottles and I decided to buy 3.  Hilman was so happy with his.  We got home, gave the bottle a rinse and then filled it with water for him to sip.  So, he has been using it since every time he needs to quench his thirst.

So after dinner today, I was drinking my water from the cup when he said he want some,

Ibu         :  Why are you drinking in my cup?

Hilman   :  Because I am thirsty.

Ibu        :  What happen to your water bottle?

Hilman   :  Oh I dunno.

Ibu        : Dunno?  Go and look for it.

Hilman  :  I dunno.  Dah hilang dah.

Ibu       :  Cannot be.  Go and look for it.

Hilman  :  Yesssssss dah hilang dah, tadi ada pastu Hilman buat magic (claps his hands) so now dah hilang dah.  Terror kan Hilman buat magic?

Ibu     :  Hmmmm..... (pandailah ko Hilman, sebab malas nak cari kan?)

Greetings From Room 571

Oh yes, my baby is warded in SDMC, Room no 571, and tonight is my second night here and it is definitely not a nice feeling to be here.

This is his third time warded in less than 6 months. I feel bad!!! It shows that I have not been doing a good job.

This time around is just awful.

Hubby took him to the hospital last Monday as he has shown no sign of improvement, I didn't expect him to be warded as he didn't look that sick. He was coughing with slight flu. So I didn't follow them for his check-up as I thought he'll be undergoing physiotheraphy and that he'll be fine. Turned out it was more serious than that as his lungs were cloudy with phlegm and bacteria infected and he suffered from throat infection too.

When hubby told me he needed to be warded, I was still in school, sitting in a meeting hence I can't rush and see him there and then. Hubby told me he refused to eat and drink his milk as his throat hurt. After the meeting, sent my mom for her treatment, picked up the kids from school, sent Aina for Kumon, picked up my mom, packed my stuff and straight away made my way to the hospital.

He cried when he saw me and I was heart-broken as at this stage he has already lost his voice. He wanted to be carried and pointed to the door and said 'Alik, Ibu dom alik' (Balik, Ibu jom balik) and that was just painful hearing him say that.

He just cannot stand the sight of nurse as he will be bawling his eyes out crying non-stop until they left the room and that made him tired and he will fall asleep after that but his sleeps are often disturbed with nurses checking his temperature, for nebaliser session, physio, medication and he'll be crying during all these sessions. To make him stop I will to take over as he wouldnt let the nurses even to touch his hand.

He struggles less now during nebaliser but for pyshio he will be crying at the top of his lungs and shouting 'akit akit' (sakit sakit). It was excruciating to see him to go through all these but I know it is for his own good.

He's asleep right now and he's still wheezing. He has 2 more pysiotherapy sessions tomorrow and 2 more nebaliser and 1 more antibiotic shot and am praying hard that tonight will be our last night here.

For the days that we have spent here, he has watched 4 Barney's DVDs and I've watched 3 DVDs, The Proposal, My Sister's Keeper and Julie Julia which I bought them before Raya last year and didnt have the chance to watch and I loved each one of them. Such wonderful stories!!! They helped me to feel less miserable.

Khairina Selfless Act

You know my daughter Khairina is such a selfless homosapien. Too selfless that sometimes it worries me that she'll get easily bullied by the people around her. Though she looks forward to be in Year One soon but because of her too selfless act, I can't help but worrying and as it is now I'm trying to teach her to be tougher and learn to say 'No' but so far it has not been successful.

For example just the other day, my two elder girls were watching tv in my dad's room and my eldest Nuraina was sitting on the chair and Khairina on the bed and Nuraina complained that she needs more room to stretch her legs because her legs feel crammed and you know what, Khairina offered her shoulders for Nuraina to rest her feet on. I was appaled when she said that and began lifting her Kakak Aina's leg to put on her shoulders and I was even mad at Aina for letting her to do such.

Sometimes she's just too sweet, gentle and nice (I know I should be glad) that people easily take advantage of her even baby Hilman would order her around, everytime when he throws the ball he'd go 'Kakak amik' and Khairina would obligingly follow his instrcution without protest and mind you this goes on more than 10 throws ok?

That is why Hilman first word was 'Kakak' because he was all the time refering to this particular 'kakak', Khairina who would come to his aid every time.

Hilman Monosylabic words

As for Hilman, ever since he knew how to talk I've been teaching him to say please and thank you and everytime he asks for milk I will make him say 'Please Ibu, I love you Ibu soooo much.' But what happens now is whenever he asks for milk and when I say 'what must you say?', instead of saying 'please' he'd say 'ooo mud'(so much). Yeah so basically I've been teaching him to say the wrong thing.

Not only that when he counts, he doesn't start with the number 'one' instead he will go 'tuu, twi' eventhough when we mention 'one' with expectation for him to repeat he'll proceed with 'tuu, twi' with his toothy smile.

And one more interesting thing about Hilman, everytime when we enter the house he'll go 'Ahhkom' meaning (assalammualaikum), I find that to be so cute and that never fails to make me laugh everytime.

Hilman-Gibberish

Check out Hilman in this video,

As you can see, Hilman's favourite word is 'kakak' ask him anything and he will say 'kakak'. It feels great that he is now at his usual self, healthy and bubbly. Syukur alhamdulillah.

In a Flash

Last Saturday, my eldest daughter Nuraina took part in a competition called 'Pertandingan Syair Islam' and she emerged as champion beating other 20 students from other religious schools all around P.J. Good job darling!

Sadly, we did not manage to witness our daughter road to glory due to a communication breakdown. We started the day quite early as my daughter had to be in her religious school by 7.15. So I woke her up at around 6.30 am, after taking her bath and prayer, I told her to get ready, she was then clad in her agama school attire as stated in the rules for the competition. She told me to put some light make-up on her face and once done, the time was closed to 7.10 am. I told her to eat something but she went 'we are late already, Ibu, we have to go now, Quick'. Furthermore, she didn't feel hungry due to the butterfly fluttering in her stomach.

So we walked to the school which takes less than 3 minutes walking distance and true enough we were the first to reach the school. The other participants for tilawah, story telling, pidato and khat writing came minutes later. Their ustazah (the religious teachers) were the last ones to arrive about 20 minutes later. So things got pretty kelam kabut and I was told she was number 31 to perform that day. The ustazah told me that the competition will commence at 8.30 am.

At around 8.30 am, I called my daughter through her handphone, and she said it is not starting yet. As we were planning to take everybody to watch kakak Aina, we basically time ourselves that we should have ample time to watch her if we go around 10.00 am as each contestant takes 5 minutes to perform. So as we were about to get everybody into the car at around 10.00 am, hubby received a message from Kakak Aina 'Dah habis dah' and we were looking at each other and our brood in the car and we went HUH! Dah habis! Laaa... Macamana boleh jadi camtu?

Dissatisfied, we still went to the religious school located in Damansara Utama. The place was swarming with people, it was difficult for us to locate our dear daughter, as everybody looked almost the same in their uniform. Afer a wild goose chase, met her ustazah and was informed that only 20 students took part and she was the 16th person to perform. That was around 10.30 and result will only be announced at around 2.30. So we decided to go back.

When asked on how did she think she performed that day, she said "Ok, I don't think I can get number one sebab ada orang yang hebat lagi tapi no 2 or no.3 can kot Ibu". Nevertheless, she tried her best and that what matters. So she only got to know the result on Monday when she attended her agama school. The ustazah took the trophy home on her behalf.

Hilman had his second haircut last Sunday, he was such a sport that he didn't cry at all this time. Well done, my boy!

Nabil is now playing football in this team called Elves and he plays the position of a striker and doing pretty well in his team.

Khairina is now reading quite well, still slow but not too bad. She had us almost worried as the elder siblings could read at the age of 5 and she was still struggling when she was at that age. She still behaves like a baby, doesn't have a sense of responsiblity, often loses her belongings be it books, pencils (especially), eraser and etc. Tak tahulah budak ni. Berbuih dah mulut cakap.

Dhaniyah still loves dancing and singing but still shy and timid in public. But she sure can shake those booties.

So that's it. My progenies in a flash!
